Savory Sausage Puff Pastry Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

300g sausage meat

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp dried thyme or parsley

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Sausage Filling:

In a mixing bowl, combine sausage meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

2. Assemble the Rolls:

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into long rectangles. Place a line of the sausage mixture down the center of each rectangle.

Fold the pastry over the filling, sealing the edges by pressing them together.

3. Cut and Brush:

Cut the long rolls into smaller pieces. Place them seam-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Brush each roll with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

4. Bake:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.

5. Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm as an appetizer or snack.
