Recipes:
Classic Beef and Spinach Lasagna
Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp sugar
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
4 cups fresh spinach, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the meat sauce: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add chopped onion and garlic and cook until softened. Stir in marinara sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Prepare the ricotta mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and spinach. Stir until well combined.
Assemble the lasagna: Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture and a third of the mozzarella. Repeat the layers and finish with the remaining meat sauce and mozzarella.
Bake the lasagna: Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve: Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy the cheesy, hearty goodness!
A perfect combination of savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella! This lasagna is a crowd-pleaser for sure!
