Beef Stroganoff with Pasta

Beef Stroganoff with Pasta

Ingredients:

For the Beef:

500g beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into cubes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sauce:

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Pasta:

250g fettuccine or tagliatelle pasta

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

Boil the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside
.

2. Cook the Beef:

Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat
.

Sear the beef cubes until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside
.

3. Prepare the Sauce:

In the same skillet, sauté onion until softened
.

Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking for 3-4 minutes until fragrant
.

Stir in beef broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and paprika. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened
.

Return the beef to the skillet, and cook for an additional 2 minutes
.

4. Combine:

Toss the pasta with the sauce or serve the sauce over the pasta.

5. Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm
.
