Tomato and Cheese Open-Faced Sandwich

Ingredients:

2 slices of crusty bread

1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese

1 medium tomato, sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried thyme

Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.

Add the Cheese and Tomato

Top each bread slice with a generous layer of shredded cheese.

Arrange the tomato slices over the cheese.

Season

Sprinkle the tomatoes with dried oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve Hot
